ENTER YOUR RECORDS OR OBSERVATIONS

The County Recorders and Essex Field Club are always involved in the survey of sites and species in Essex and maintain the county database as an ongoing process.

Many species of plant and animal are difficult to identify without considerable experience and/or microscopical examination. We are trying out data entry via the internet with a few species which are especially characteristic or easily recognisable.

You need to register with us to submit records and pictures. Registration allows you to submit records and pictures to our recording schemes and keep track of your records on-line. Please do this even if you only have one record to provide - all records form an important addition to our knowledge of the distribution, phenology and status of species. If you are a member of the Essex Field Club you will also be able to contribute to this website and request greater access to data. How to join
